Apparently this guy USED to be a fantacist in the West Bank, but after seeing what that does to people, and causes people to do to people, he's come to believe that there is no "one right way", and that a pluralism of faith is okay... what a different world it would be if everybody felt that way.

We'll talk this hour with Rabbi Brad Hirschfield, author of "You Don't Have to be Wrong For Me to be Right: Finding Faith Without Fanaticism" (Harmony, 2007), who's in town to speak to the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Dallas.

Rabbi Hirschfield will participate in an interfaith event hosted by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Dallas tonight at 7:30pm. The event, at SMU's Hughes-Trigg Student Center Theater, is open to the community and free of charge. For more information call (214)615-5254.

happy birthday tj - iamcleared2land.

here is a link to his story, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/150796/1.ashx one of the most heart wrenching i have heard in my entire life.. jwd has his birthday showing as today, january 20th, however it is really tuesday, january 22nd.

also, for those who have read his thread (and if you havent, i highly encourage that you do) his sister's birthday is monday, january 21st...tomorrow!

Happy Birthday to me! Thanks, y'all. A friend asked me I felt older today. My answer: "Nope, I feel YOUNGER!". And I do, thanks in part to my exit...

I was a bit sad that my wife didn't wish me a Happy Birthday this morning... but I'll get over it. My brother did call me on my cell this morning (woke me up!), and my sister did yesterday, to wish me the same.

[[EDIT!!! Late breaking news... my wife just sent me a text message on a different matter and closed it with "... birthday boy! :-)" ]]

folks, surly one of you can tell me what the scriptual reasons the jws have that only the so called "annointed" should partake of the evening meal as the laughable jws call it?

have i pissed someone off?

did i not bathe this week?

Your question made me just realize... JW's teach that Jesus' illustration about 'caring for Christ's brothers' applies to how we treat the 'anointed'.

Yet wouldn't that parable then also mean that WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FEEDING THEM, not the other way around?!

Mat 25:37

"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?

"And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

You have one you use all the time? Despite a cupboard full of cups, there's one or two you always reach for? I have two in my house that I use most often. Here's the first... I'm a pilot (for fun), and my wife found this cup for me with a classic Piper J-3 Cub on it, flying over a countryside scene...

I'll post a picture of the other one later, after I see some of yours!

(Does that make this a I'll show you mine if you show me yours? thread?!?)
